DJ Hell, Munich

DJ Hell, born Helmut Josef Geier (*1962), is considered one of the most influential and innovative producers and DJs in the electronic music scene worldwide. With the founding of his label International Deejay Gigolo Records in Munich in 1996, he laid the foundations for the electroclash genre and became its namesake. The label released groundbreaking tracks by artists such as Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Fischerspooner and Tiga and established Munich as the epicenter of this new sound.

In April 2025, Hell’s latest work was released: Meese × Hell – Gesamtklärwerk Deutschland, a collaboration with the artist Jonathan Meese. The album is an homage to the techno-pop of Kraftwerk and combines Hell’s futuristic soundscapes with Meese’s expressive language performances.

DJ Hell remains a driving force in electronic music, known for his stylistic diversity and influence on club culture worldwide.
